PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — The Providence Preservation Society will soon announce its list of what it considers the city’s most endangered properties.

The list will be announced Thursday at the group’s annual meeting at Brown University’s Salomon Center for Teaching. It’s designed to draw attention to properties the group says are threatened by neglect, demolition, development, deterioration and lack of funding. The group wants to preserve them because of their importance to the city’s history, culture and character.

The meeting will also premiere a photo exhibit of the properties.

The keynote speaker is the Brookings Institution’s Jennifer Bradley. She is co-author of ‘‘The Metropolitan Revolution,’’ about addressing problems in the nation’s urban core.
